Whether you want to give your home some fall flavor just for the season or want to incorporate some of its magic throughout the whole year, here are some of our favorite fall color ideas to inspire you.

Fall Color Ideas for Your Home

Dark Blue

Blue isn’t a color people automatically associate with fall, but a deep, rich version of it is a great way to capture the essence of it with a more unique, contemporary twist. It’s an elegant choice that looks great with a variety of styles. You can pair it with other fall colors to create a beautiful contrast, such as orange or yellow, and it brings a sophisticated touch to rustic textures like wood.

Dark Purple

No color is quite as glamorous as dark purple. This color is associated with royalty, so it brings an edge of sophistication wherever it is used. It’s a unique color that you don’t see that often in décor, so if you are looking for something out of the ordinary, this is a great choice. It is also very relaxing and uplifting, so it will bring that sense of warmth and fall spirit with a romantic flair.

Orange

Orange is one of the most popular colors to decorate with for fall for obvious reasons. The color is prominent in nature during the season so orange, especially in a darker or burnt tone, is a great choice if you want a strong suggestion of the season. What’s fun about orange is its energetic quality, making it a good choice for any space where you want to feel energized and rejuvenated. If you want to go bold, orange is your color!

Green

For a tranquil, earthy feel, green is a perfect choice. It’s a gender-neutral color that doesn’t jump out at you, but still has a lovely effect on a space. It pairs well with all the colors mentioned in this post. For a subtle look, go with a more subdued green. For something more glamorous, emerald will do the trick.

Brown

This may sound like a “boring” color choice, but brown can create some beautiful results when used the right way. As an accent, it pairs wonderfully with any of the colors in this post. It brings that warmth and rustic touch that most people are looking for when they think of fall. Even without other colors, the many different shades and tones of brown can come together to create a visually interesting, neutral space – think about dark chocolate walls with creamy furniture and wood accents. Or, brown can serve as the cozy base for other colorful accents.
