Done with Spring Cleaning and Can’t Find Room for Everything You Own? Donate it!

It’s great to be done with spring cleaning—your house looks great, the closets that have been a mess for months are finally neat, and your floors are cleaner than they have been in a year.
However, if you are like me, there’s one problem: you simply can’t find space for everything you’ve accumulated over the year. From clothes and linens to furniture, books, and more… there is never enough space.
If that is your situation, I have the perfect solution for you—donate your gently used items to a local organization called Thrift Mart!
Donating is fast, easy and tax deductible! Simply choose from three convenient donation options:
- You can donate your gently used items by dropping them off at the store during regular business hours.
- You can donate by dropping your items in the convenient drop box outside the Thrift-Mart.
- Or, if you have a lot of big furniture to donate, please call 407-656-SAVE to arrange a pick up.
Donation receipts can be obtained inside the store from the cashier.
The business suits donated make a difference to a single mother going on a job interview, the old sofa makes a difference to the struggling college student, and that forgotten toy brightens up a child’s day. Any gently used unwanted items you donate can make a big difference to another.
I have the honor of sitting on the board of this organization, and I’ve seen first-hand the impact they are having on our community! The store opened in 2012 and has contributed to West Orange Food Bank, Foster Care Programs in Orange County Harbour House, refugees and fire victims and most recently, we have sent clothing to help the families in Alabama after the devastating storms.
So if you’ve got clutter in your closets or your garage and you think it could be of help to someone else, please consider donating today! You never know how much of an impact you could have on someone else’s life. Please get in touch with me if you have further questions!
